Hong Kong Hardware
Fair:
Greater
synergy with Lighting Fair
The
Hong Kong International Hardware & Home Improvement Fair will take place
October 27 - 30, 2003 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center and
will be taking up a new partnership with the Hong Kong International Lighting
Fair.
This year, the
Hong Kong International Hardware & Home Improvement Fair will be extended
by one extra day, offering more trading opportunities to buyers in related fields.
Speaking on this strategic move, Ms Anne Chick, senior exhibitions manager of
HKTDC, said: "We trust that this arrangement will benefit both buyers and
exhibitors alike as lighting and hardware products have great synergy. Buyers
now can make one trip to the show and will be able to source both items under
the same roof."
More exhibitors
& buyers this year
The fair was enhanced
by the presence of various VIPs and major buyers in the hardware and home improvement
industry, including those from Poland, Malaysia and China. Moreover, HKTDC organized
nine buying missions encompassing Japan, Vietnam, the Chinese mainland, Hungary
and Russia.
It is anticipated
that over 130 exhibitors will be showcasing their products at this show, with
representation from Austria, the Chinese mainland, India, Indonesia, Latvia,
Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The exposition is also the best channel to disseminate
industrial news. Two seminars on marketing and technology issues in the hardware
industry are planned to feed buyers with useful information.
