Show to be Held on Oct. 23-25

The 4th Taipei International Hardware & DIY Show (THDIY) will be staged on Oct. 23-25 this year at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 3, a newly furnished venue.

This show is organized by KoelnMesse of Germany and its represenative in Taiwan, Kaigo Co., Ltd.

More foreign buyers and visitors are expected to attend the show, according to Kaigo Co., Ltd. which said the American Hardware Manufacturers Association (AHMA) is preparing to come to Taipei for the exhibition.

In addition, the trade show organizer said, trade associations from Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand have expressed deep interest either to exhibit their products or visit the show.

The general manager of the Purchasing Association of German Hardware Dealers, Mr. Kemphl, will lead a delegation of its members to visit the Taipei International Hardware & DIY Show. Some world-renown brands such as OBI, CE, Rubbermaid have expressed their interest in visiting the Taipei hardware show, according to the show organizer.

As of early April, over 1,000 foreign companies have registered with the trade show organizer to visit the Taipei International Hardware & DIY show, according to Kaigo Co.

THDIY covers two major categories: the Tool Center and the DIY World. The Tool Center focuses on manual, power, pneumatic and gardening tools, tool bags and DIY fittings. Exhibits at the DIY World range from kitchenware, sanitation and daily hardware products, interior and decorative accessories to locks, building materials and leisure goods.

Last year, more than 9,300 foreign buyers from 54 countries were attracted to the show, representing an increase of 35 percent over the year before.
