At
the recent Taipei Hardware and Home Appliances show (THHAS),
Open Power Store, a Taiwan maker of gardening products,
introduced its newly patented Automatic Vegetable Sprout
Cultivating System to international buyers. According
to a company spokesperson, the system was just completed
a week prior to the show, and thus the Taipei event was
the first time it was shown on the market. THHAS took
place May 3-5 in Hall 2 of the Taipei World Trade Center.
The
cultivating system only requires seeds and water to grow
fresh and healthy sprouts. No soil, paper, fabrics, sponges,
fertilizers, pesticides or chemicals are involved. The
company has already obtained patents for the system in
Taiwan, the U.S., Japan, Korea and China. In addition
to the regular version, it is also available in a DIY
series in either green or transparent varieties.
Established
in 1986, Open Power Store is a gardening products manufacturer
that maintains facilities in Taichung county, central
Taiwan. The company's other main products include bean
sprout brooders, a DIY sprout juicer, an electric wheat
sprout juicer and a cultivating plate.
